The Grasshopper is a MIDI sequencing application. The Grasshopper is best used with a MIDI Keyboard controller (USB) with no tone generator. The Grasshopper maps MIDI events to the Apple Internal Synthesizer from a (USB) MIDI Keyboard controller. You may use the Grasshopper's Virtual MIDI Keyboard to create MIDI events if you do not own a MIDI keyboard controller. The Midi Grasshopper does not require a synthesizer.
